Wal-Mart donates $500 to watershed project

Local Album

Wal-Mart Store 2019, Uniontown, gave a $500 donation to the Greater Redstone Clearwater Initiative as part of the Wal-Mart "Good Works" program. Through this program, Wal-Mart provides funding to numerous community and environmental organizations on a local level across the nation. This recent donation will supplement charitable contributions from other local business and individuals used to help cover regular operating expenses of the Greater Redstone Clearwater Initiative in its on-going effort to clean up pollution in the Greater Redstone Watershed, including postage and printing costs of newsletters. Taking part in the presentation are (from left) John Piwowar, president of Greater Redstone Clearwater Initiative; Brian Chalfant, watershed development coordinator; Mary Ellen Yuras, customer service manager with Wal-Mart; Jim Tobal, board member of Redstone Clearwater; Jane Croftcheck, community involvement coordinator with Wal-Mart; and John Garret, co-manager of Wal-Mart.
